For some reason or another, all my daily fishing reports that I posted daily since the opener went into outer space so let's see if this one works out.

The past two days have seen some very good action, all depends on what you were fishing for, Wednesday my guest and I spent the day working shallow weeds, brush and wind blown bogs with 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either a small piece of crawler or medium fatheads and we came up with a very nice catch of jumbo perch, crappie, bluegills and several pike. Not a walleye to be seen in these areas. Thursday was a different story as my guest and I went walleye hunting and that paid off big time. Using 1/8th ounce weedless Invasion jigs tipped with either 1/2 crawler of large fatheads, we started out pounding wind blown shorelines and had great action, only problem here is that the action was from several smallmouth, none the less lots of fun. After a good number of hit and miss places we finally located some very nice eyes and several big jumbo perch relating to submerged wood in 10 to 16 foot depths. At days end, one nice looking livewell of fish and one very happy guest.

Back out  today, will keep you posted.
