Friday greeted my guest and I with flat water along with very light and variable breezes, not my ideal walleye weather. Rigged with 1/8th ounce weedless Invasion jigs tipped with either 1/2 crawler or large fatheads, we worked all different depths, structures, casting & retrieving and vertical jigging with no action except for rock bass. The wind finally picked up enough out of the north to do some drifting with slip bobbers but also produced nothing. We then switched to 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either a small piece of crawler or medium fatheads and worked a good number of cribs and this paid off for us as we not only found walleye, but several jumbo perch mixed in with the big bluegills. Great ending to a tough day.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
